The Coast Guard Blue Dolphin Annual Swim-A-Thon Fundraiser is coming soon. Swim-A-Thon is a Coast Guard Blue Dolphin Team event that will be administered by the Blue Dolphins Booster Club. Swimmers solicit pledges from friends and family for every lap they can swim in 2 hours. Age Group and younger will swim 100 laps and Prep and older will swim 200 laps. Every family is obligated to participate under the terms of their team contract; each family is obligated to raise $200. Participants should start getting pledges right away! Ask friends, family, and neighbors to sponsor you and don't forget to use your email lists to contact far-away friends!

Swim-A-Thon will be held on Saturday, November 19th at the Midtown Pool. Swimmers will be divided by practice groups into two sections and each section will have a 2 hour period to meet their lap goals!  We will need parents to assist in lap counting. Booster Club will provide snacks for the hungry swimmers following the event.

ALL CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO BLUE DOLPHINS BOOSTER CLUB (BDBC INC). That way all donations will be considered 100% TAX DEDUCTABLE.

There is a competition between all CGBD swimmers to see who can raise the most money! We are offering the following prizes:

Top Fundraiser at each pool - $25 Movie Gift card

Second Place Fundraiser at each pool - $15 ITunes Gift card

Awards: Every participant who completes 100 or 200 lengths receives a Swim-a-thon Letterjacket Pin.
For every individual participant who earns $500 or more there is also a tiered award system.

If you have all your money, please bring it on the day of the Swim-a-thon, otherwise, ALL MONEY IS DUE by Friday, December 2, 2011.
