As a parent of a swimmer, you have the opportunity to be involved with your child and his/her sport by becoming an official. USA swimming officials contribute greatly to the development of the program at all levels. If you have an interest in becoming a stroke and turn official there will be a training on September 26th at Ft. Eustis Aquatic Center. Please contact the CGBD officials chair, John Warhol, at
cgbd.officials@gmail.com for more information and/or to confirm your spot at the training.
VSI Fees for USA Officials and Trainees Policy
1. The VSI fees for official trainees/new officials to the team, must initially be covered by the trainee/new official. Upon completion of officials training/certification, and after the trainee/official has worked the required 2 sessions per CGBD hosted meet, or the equivalent number of sessions at CGBD hosted meets thereof, the trainee/official is able to submit to the Board to have their initial VSI fees reimbursed by the team for that calendar year.
2. The VSI fees for officials will be paid by CGBD upon successful completion of the required 2 sessions per CGBD hosted meet, or the equivalent number of sessions at CGBD hosted meets. Failure to work the required number of sessions at CGBD hosted meets will forfeit the right to have CGBD cover the cost of VSI registration for the following year.

- Dolphin Stroke Team
- Swim America
- Masters Swimming
