Coaches Notes:   

Welcome to the 2010-2011 Season.  I'm very excited about the upcoming season.  I have enjoyed seeing many of you during the Pre-Season workouts and look forward to having everyone together once the season gets underway on the 15th of September. 

The meet schedule has been posted to the website.  There are 3 meets in October for the Senior Group swimmers to choose from.  We have the SEVA BB/B/C meet.  Please sign up for this meet if you don't have multiple BB events.  There is the OBX  BB+ meet for swimmers that don't make the criteria for the RSA Meet and have multiple BB or better times.  For the RSA Meet we are taking our 13&Overs only and are limiting it to the A+ swimmers.  So if you have A times in multiple events, we want to see you sign up for this meet.

We will have a parent/swimmer meeting coming up towards the end of the month.  I will not be at practice for the official start of the season.  I will be attending the United States Aquatic Sports Convention to represent Virginia Swimming.  I will be gone from the 15th to the 19th.  So I will schedule the meeting after that.  We will also be scheduling goal meetings shortly.

I am looking for a few parents that can help organize some social activities for the swimmers.  I would like to see about 1 per month.  We did laser tag last year, and it was a big hit.  Please contact me if you'd like to head this up or just volunteer to help.

I am looking forward to a year of many goals being reached and fast swimming by CGBD swimmers.
