Team Communications Policy

Our primary communications tool is our website. It is designed to be a one-stop information repository and message center to support our mission and our Members’ day-to-day information needs. We try hard to insure the information is timely and accurate. Content on the site changes almost daily, so, you need to check it regularly - at least once a week, preferably, daily. An easy way to do this is to make our site your home page for your browser or to make it a favorite on your desktop or in your browser. The What's New Page contains a list of recently-posted documents and/or page updates. Everything you need should be on the site including Coaches information, Meet and Practice Schedules, Meet Entry Sign-Up, Best Times, Pictures, Directions, Time Standards, Team Travel, Team Apparel, and Fundraising information. If you need something and it’s not there, please email the Webmaster with a request to post it. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print most of the documents on the site – it’s a free download.

Our secondary communications tool is email. We use it to back up the website for time-sensitive announcements (72 hours or less) to the Membership and to send out Practice Group-specific messages. Messages contain Meet Warm-Up Times, Practice Schedule Changes, and short-notice deadlines. It’s essential that you give us an accurate, working email address at which you can receive messages. It’s helpful that you check your email regularly – at least once a week, preferably, daily. We also use email to communicate directly with Members – to ask or answer questions or provide information. We encourage your use of email to communicate with Board Members, Coaches, and Key Contacts (their addresses are on the website). For questions / comments regarding our email, please contact the office at 369-2202 or cgbdteamadmin@cox.net .

It’s important to be informed and we are dedicated to providing you all the information you need to be successful in the program and to feel a part of the CGBD family. Communication is a two-way endeavor. We’ll put the information out there, please be proactive in obtaining and using it
